Urban artist influenced by pop art, TvBoy (artistic name and trademark of Salvatore Benintende) began painting in the streets of Milan in 1996. Since then he has not stopped creating and taking his art beyond the Italian borders, settling in Barcelona in 2004.
In recent years, Tvboy has exhibited his work at the Venice Biennale, at the MDM Museum in Porto Cervo, at the PAC in Milan and in various shows in galleries and museums in Rome, Barcelona, Monaco, Bern, Copenhagen, Munich, Berlin, Beirut and Washington.
He creates images that are vindictive, cynical and politically incorrect. In fact, his graffiti dedicated to Greta Thunberg, which confronted the young Swedish activist with the indolent attitude of US President Donald Trump, lasted less than 24 hours in Barcelona, as it was erased by a cleaner. Other graffiti included the passionate "kiss" between Messi and Cristiano and the one dedicated to Oscar Camps, founder of Open Arms.
